Inaguration of Mini civil station , Sultan bathery
The Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala Sri. OOmmen Chandy inaugurated the newly constructed buildings of Sulthan Bathery Mini Civil Station on 16-09-2011 in a function presided over by the Minister for Public works Sri.V.K.Ebrahim Kunju.

Inauguration of New Blocks in College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram
Minister for Public Works Sri.V.K. Ebrahim Kunju inaugurated the newly constructed buildings in the College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram on 17-08-2011. Minister for Education Sri. P K Abdu Rabb, Sri. M A Wahid M.L.A and Director of Technical Education Dr. J Letha were also present.
Foundation stone laid for Pallana - Kumarakodi bridge, Harippad
The Chief Minister Sri. Oommen Chandi laid the foudation stone for the Pallana - Kumarakodi bridge and the Karuvatta - Kumarakodi road on 04-06-2011. The Union Minister of State for Power Sri.K.C. Venugopal, Minister for Public Works Sri.V.K. Ebrahim Kunju, Ramesh Chennithala, MLA, District collector Shri. P venugopal, District Panchayath President Smt. Prathibha Hari and PWD Chief Engineer Shri T.Baburaj and others were present.
The 239-metre long Kumarakodi bridge, which will be constructed across the National Waterway through the Pallana river, too was a demand of the public for the last several years while the Karuvatta-Kumarakodi road would reduce the travel distance for residents of Karuvatta and Kumarakodi to Haripad by about 8 km. The total project cost comes to 32.8 crores.
